The Ferrari 360 Modena, launched in 1999, served as a replacement for the famous F355 and quickly became a worthy successor to the outgoing model. It wasn’t long before the Challenge variant was unveiled – a track-focused, stripped-down version of the Modena that opened the door to competition in Ferrari’s Challenge racing series. For those who wanted the improved driving dynamics of this 360 Challenge, but for the road, there was the Challenge Stradale, which appeared in 2003.

The Challenge Stradale added 25 horsepower over the Modena, and managed to cut the lap time of its road-focused stablemate at Fiorano by a whopping 3.5 seconds. A range of high-spec components, including carbon-ceramic disc brakes inherited from the Ferrari Enzo, contributed to class-leading handling, while refinements to the engine and powertrain improved throttle response and driver engagement. But perhaps the biggest improvement over the Modena was a crash course in weight reduction, resulting in the Challenge Stradale weighing 110 kilograms less than the standard car.

Considerable mass was removed from the front and rear bumpers, which were made using a Resin Transfer Moulding system inspired by the Challenge cars. Carbon fiber was more widely used for both structural elements and exterior trim, and other lightweight materials such as titanium were used in suspension components, among others. The interior benefited from carbon fiber seats where the heavy leather was replaced with Alcantara. Even the stereo could be sacrificed on the altar of weight saving.

This Challenge Stradale was first registered on August 13, 2004 and comes in the timeless combination of Rosso Scuderia with an Alcantara interior.

The car has only 18,610 km on the odometer and is accompanied by its original service book, all manuals and all toolkits! The car is in completely original condition and its factory paint.

The car was just fully serviced at an official Ferrari dealer where the timing belt was replaced.

Two owners are known to Ferrari in Switzerland. We imported the car from Switzerland, making the VAT deductible!

The fact that the Challenge Stradale is the first in line of what is currently called the Speciale series and the fact that only 1,200 units of the Challenge Stradale were built makes this car a top collection piece!
