Mercedes-Benz 300SE

Introduced in 1979 as the successor to the legendary W116, the Mercedes-Benz W126 grew into one of the most iconic S-Classes ever built. Designed by Bruno Sacco, then Mercedes-Benz’s chief designer, the W126 embodied everything Mercedes stood for in the 1980s: style, solidity, refinement and technical perfection.

This was the “top of the line” limousine of its time – the flagship that took comfort, safety and elegance to a new level. The second generation (from 1985) brought subtle design changes, improved engines and more refined interiors. The one we offer belongs to that second generation and thus represents the best and most mature stage of the W126 series.

Delivered on February 1, 1989 in Japan to its first owner, and always treated with exceptional care. On June 30, 2015, the car was exported to Germany, where it came into the hands of a former Mercedes mechanic – someone who knew the W126 to perfection.

In May 2020, the car found its way to Belgium, where it has since had one owner. The car is in excellent condition, with the underside as well cared for as the top – rare for a W126 of this age.
