Ferrari 512 TR

From its first car in 1947 to the present day, Ferrari has created an almost endless series of legendary cars, certainly more than a few per decade. Yet there is virtually no Ferrari more iconic than the Ferrari Testarossa.

For some, the 1980s were the best decade ever. Everything from fashion to music to movies was eccentric. Car manufacturers understood this very well, and cars like the Lamborghini Countach or the DeLorean DMC-12 had very eccentric designs. And so did the Ferrari Testarossa. A perfect representation of the 1980s.

The original Testarossa was redesigned for the 1992 model year and was introduced as the 512 TR (TR stands for Testa Rossa ), at the Los Angeles Auto Show, in fact as a completely new car, and an improved weight distribution of 41% front, 59% rear.

The Testarossa is a real Ferrari. Which means: great design, great engine and high emotions. Because the Testarossa was Ferrari’s flagship at the time, it had to be powered by a 12-cylinder. Centrally mounted, the 4.9-liter 12 cylinder in the 512 TR develops 428 hp (and relative to 380 hp in the Testarossa). Listening to this screaming flat-12 is like going to the opera. This car feels timeless. You are driving an icon, a myth, a piece of Ferrari’s golden era.

This particular 512 TR was delivered to its first owner in Switzerland on March 18, 1992, where it resided until 2014. In 2014, the car went to French collector without being registered there.

With its documented 28,965 KM on the odometer, this car approaches perfection. Following mileage documentation is present via the Ferrari service booklet, as well as via the Swiss anti-pollution service history:

Having not been driven between 2014 and 2023, the car has just had a major maintenance including new belts. These works were performed by an official dealer, making the car fully Ferrari maintained.

The car comes with its leather case containing all the booklets, including the original service booklet. In addition, the leather tool bag, as well as all tools, are provided.

Otherwise, the car is completely original and in perfect condition, quasi new condition!

Over the last 3 years, prices for 512 TRs have increased significantly (+100%)! Therefore, we expect this car to be a perfect investment, especially considering the quality of this one!
