The Porsche 911 Turbo is admired by many because it is the one and only supercar suitable for everyday use. Building on the 911 mantra, the Turbo seamlessly blends functionality with performance, taking it to a new level by adding explosive power, eye-catching design features and cutting-edge technology to the mix. It’s the ultimate all-rounder 911 with style and elegance in droves. It is a model with mythical proportions and was the fastest production car on the market at the time.

Like the 911 itself, the Porsche Turbo has gone through a consistent evolution rather than a total revolution during its 43-year production run. This is especially true of the Turbo’s early years, when from 1975 to 1989 it was more commonly referred to by the internal model designation “930”. In those 14 years, the 930 evolved from a fast performance weapon to a somewhat more advanced supercar. Over the years it became faster, of course, but the Turbo also became more efficient and easier to drive.

From its more humble beginnings as a four-speed 3.0-liter and 260-horsepower whale tale in the 1970s, the 930 had turned into a 3.3-liter intercooled and turbocharged 300hp by the mid-1980s. In its last production year 1989, the 930 got a 5-speed gearbox. That’s why the 930’s produced in 1989 are the most sought after. The five-speed gearbox makes better use of the explosive power of the Turbo.

This 930 is the 268th of a total of 857 units produced in 1989 with the G50 gearbox. The car was originally delivered in Germany by Autohaus Scheller on January 2, 1989. Afterwards, the car spent a large part of its life in the Netherlands, after which it was imported to Belgium in 2010 by the second last owner.

The exterior color of the car is Slate Gray and is combined with a gray full leather interior. The car was factory equipped with the following options:

  • 139 – Seat heating, left
  • 220 – differential lock 40%
  • 383 – sports seat left
  • 567 – windscreen with colored sun shade band
  • 197 – stronger battery
  • 340 – seat heating right
  • 387 – sports seat right
